Businesses within England with an annual pay bill of £3m+ pay 0.5% of their wage bill to the Government for an apprenticeship levy. In return, employers are provided with the opportunity to offset levy payments against approved apprenticeship qualifications.

This applies for all employees irrespective of age and job role, including employees who are new to the company.
