Our Export Controls SIG has been established to provide members in the Export Control industry with priority access to critical information, policy updates, and education, alongside a network of peers to discuss challenges and solutions shaping your sector.

The upcoming meeting will feature Andy Bridges, Trade and Customs Consultant, delivering an insightful presentation on the AUKUS agreement.

Andy will provide an overview of this landmark trilateral security partnership between the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, designed to strengthen security in the Indo-Pacific. He will discuss its focus on advanced defence technologies, such as nuclear-powered submarines, cybersecurity, AI, and quantum innovations, as well as the economic, industrial, and geopolitical implications. The session will highlight how AUKUS aims to bolster regional stability, deter threats, and support a free and open Indo-Pacific, while addressing the challenges and sensitivities surrounding this agreement.

Andy will also lead a facilitated discussion, providing attendees an opportunity to engage in a deeper exploration of the agreement’s impact on export controls, industry operations, and international relations.
