How the Chartered Institute’s Mentoring Programme Can Support Your Career Advancement

In celebration of National Mentoring Day, the Chartered Institute is hosting a special session on the value of mentoring for career growth and the rewarding experience of giving back as a mentor. Mentoring not only accelerates personal development, but it also helps build lasting professional relationships and creates a cycle of support within the industry.

The Chartered Institute offers a dedicated mentoring platform that connects members to build these invaluable relationships, and we’re excited to share how it can benefit you.

Join us for this session, chaired by Mikeala Morgans, Head of Academic Services, featuring a panel discussion with a recent mentor and mentee from the Chartered Institute’s Mentoring Programme. You’ll also hear from PLD Mentoring, who will provide an update on how to maximise the mentoring platform and make the most of your mentoring journey.

Chris Murray (002)

Chris is one the Co-founders and director of Perform Learn Develop Ltd (PLD). PLD provides mentoring and coaching platforms for lots of different organisations, whether they be companies, professional bodies or charities.

PLD was founded with the development of our mentoring software platform. This marked the start of our drive to find new ways to connect people in knowledge sharing relationships. We knew from our own personal experience how powerful a successful mentoring relationship could be in transferring skills from one person to another.

Scaling that up through online mentoring communities means mentees are able to connect with the most relevant mentor for their needs irrespective of location. The addition of rich online learning support also means mentors and mentees can get the very best from their mentoring relationships.

As PLD continued to develop it became clear just how many organisations, across varied sectors, could drive significant benefits by running a mentoring programme on the mentoring platform. PLD has operated for just over 13 years now, helping to create thousands of successful mentoring relationships.
