The Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade has confirmed that it is now an official member of Anthropy, an organisation that hosts an annual three-day conference of UK business and charity leaders.

The three-day national gathering takes place on 26-28 March 2025 at the Eden Project in Cornwall.

‘Reboot Britain’

Anthropy has launched a new campaign titled ‘Let’s reboot Britain’, and the Chartered Institute is excited to bring a unique perspective from the international trade sector and to play our role in creating a brighter future for the UK.

The campaign was revealed to over 200 business leaders at Anthropy’s Autumn Review, with “responsible, forward-thinking brands, businesses and entrepreneurs invited to share their ideas for how UK industries can address the nation’s economic and social challenges”.

The campaign will “set the stage for the next chapter in the UK’s leadership journey”, the organisation says, encouraging business leaders to “critically examine their own structures, processes, and strategies, to see where they can improve”, as well as to develop partnerships “across industries, sectors and communities”.

The campaign will also push for “closer collaboration across the new political environment, to create an environment that fosters innovation and supports initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for all citizens”.

The Chartered Institute perspective

Chartered Institute director general Marco Forgione said of the announcement:

“UK businesses have faced a range of challenges in recent years, from supply chain disruption to geopolitical tensions.

“Anthropy’s annual event, bringing together leaders from industry, the charitable sector and government, is a valuable forum for leaders across industries and sectors to engage on these challenges and other issues as we look to build the future of UK trade.”

Anthropy founder John O’Brien, formerly EMEA managing partner of Omnicom’s One Hundred consortium said:

“We are delighted to have the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade working with us. This campaign isn’t saying everything is broken in Britain, or about starting from scratch; it is about recognising that we are at a key moment in time, where we need to reset, re-emerge and by bringing leaders together, sharing ideas, and fostering innovative collaborations, can ensure a higher quality of life for everyone in the UK.

“‘Reboot Britain’ is a call to action for leaders from all sectors who believe in the potential of this nation and are ready to be part of the solution.
