Businesses and global trade professionals can now buy tickets to one of the year’s main industry events, the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade’s Import Export Show.
Back for its second year following last year’s popular inaugural edition, the show will bring together senior industry figures, including business leaders and policymakers, to address how trade can empower economic growth in the UK and globally.
The conference will again be taking place at the Leonardo Royal Hotel near Tower Hill in London on 3 December 2024.
Empowering trade
The Chartered Institute’s head of events, Charlie Laycock, said she is looking forward to meeting members and the wider trade community at this year’s event.
“The Import Export Show is coming back and it’s going to be even bigger in its second year.
“There will be keynote speeches and panel discussions featuring leading figures from the world of trade policy and business, and delegates will have plenty of opportunity to network with fellow businesses and industry thought leaders.
“The event will address how to ‘empower global trade’ both for MSMEs at the local level and large multinationals globally. This is a key mission for the Chartered Institute, as we believe that trade – at all levels – is a force for good in the world, driving economic growth and prosperity.”
Talking points
The event’s website lists the following key talking points that will be addressed at this year’s show:
- How a year of elections is reshaping international trade
- How trade can drive economic growth in all UK regions and nations
- How to practically navigate upcoming trade changes in the UK and EU
As was the case in its inaugural edition, the programme will also include the announcement of this year’s winners of the Chartered Institute’s International Trade Awards.
