New Members

The Institute of Export and International Trade’s (IOE&IT) membership continues to expand, with over 7,500 businesses and individuals in our community.

Below, we highlight some of the new members who joined in April, including both business and supplier members and individuals. To anyone who has joined recently, we offer a warm welcome.

Versinetic

Versinetic develops electric vehicle charging products globally. Its engineers have been designing charging systems since developing the EV chargers for the 2012 London Olympics.

The company's portfolio includes the EV Charger Development Kit, LinkRay Load Balancing Controller with payment terminal integration, and Smart Charge Point Communications controller, plus OCPP Software Stacks and white-label charging apps.

Versinetic is the spin-out company of multi-award-winning engineering consultancy ByteSnap Design.

iCustoms uses an AI-powered platform to simplify customs for cross-border trade. Its solution is designed to facilitate faster and more efficient operations for businesses.

By leveraging what it describes as "cutting-edge technology", iCustoms' all-in-one platform automates and streamlines customs procedures, which it says resulting in significant time and cost savings of up to 50%.

Liberty Express

A freight forwarder that specialises in the US market, Liberty Express is a regulated agent that screens cargo and builds aircraft containers in-house. It conducts business with aircraft operators and provides security controls that are compliant with those set out by the appropriate authorities, with respect to air cargo and mail.

As member of International Air Transport Association, the company says it can access any airline in order "to provide the best possible routings and rates for deliveries throughout the USA".

The company has two main services which both include customs clearance and delivery to door, with bespoke rates available on request.

LINEV Systems UK

LINEV Systems UK claims it is "brand synonymous with world-class innovation in the Security, NDT, Analytical, and Forensics markets".

With a strong presence in the security industry, it provides X-ray security screening systems such as bag scanners, cargo/pallet scanners, body scanners, & vehicle scanners all around the globe.

LINEV says it believes in building long-lasting partnerships with its clients and working closely with end users "to understand their requirements and exceed their expectations".

Individual members 

Donna Channer

Channer originates from South Africa and has been importing since 1990, working in the exports division of Macsteel from 2012-2018. After this period, she moved to UK and has been since involved with customs compliance ever since.

In April this year, she started working for Stannah in the chair lift manufacturing division as a shipping officer. 

Her skill set includes HMRC compliance, sales, stock control and Intrastat reporting.

Khalil Ahmed LLB, MSc, AMIEx

A seasoned Customs and Compliance Manager overseeing cross-border operations for PepsiCo in UK and Ireland, Ahmed has almost five years of experience in international trade, including three years at PepsiCo.

Equipped with an LLB and MsC in international accounts and finance, Khalil has a legal and financial knowledge to help companies navigate complex regulatory landscapes.

Melanie Horton

Horton has is a UK customs and export manager for NTEX for 19 years, working in all exports, imports and customs areas during this time. 

She has a wealth of experience at preivous companies, including Icelandic Imports. She has taught on FDSc + BSc Logistics Management Courses for GIFHE and Hull University.

She is currently studying UK Customs Academy level 5.
