Linda Middleton-Jones LLB (Hons) MIEx, founder of International Trade Matters and a peerless champion of exporters in the South West region, has recently been appointed the Chairman of the Academic Board at the Institute of Export & International Trade (IOE&IT).
Linda is a welcome addition to the Board having already led the IOE&IT’s activities in the South West through regular member webinars and regional World Trade Summits. She has also been a key voice in the evolution of the Membership offerings from the IOE&IT.
She is pictured below at the Mansion House at a recent IOE&IT Graduation Ceremony, where she was proud to be wearing the colours of the University of Plymouth where she studied UK, European, International and Spanish legal systems.
Upon her announcement she said:
“The IOE&IT enhances the export performance of the UK by setting and maintaining professional standards. This is principally achieved by the provision of education, training and business support.
“The IOE&IT is committed to the belief that real competitive advantage lies in the competence of British businesses. The future export growth must be underpinned by a sound foundation of knowledge.”

Her expertise has allowed her to guide clients on exporting strategy including market research, smart procurement and contract compliance. Adept at recognising and guiding sustainable international growth she can offer business development expertise from market research through to pipeline sales forecasting. Through her time working with the manufacturing sector she brings a personal commitment to continual improvement through lean tools and techniques.
