December has arrived and excitement is now building as we look forward to the Christmas break.

The Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade is once again getting into the festive spirit by opening a treat every day in its advent calendar.

But, as was the case last year, we’ve again gotten our calendar from St Nick’s, a Lapland-based fast parcel operator.

“Our digital ‘Commodity Code Advent Calendar’ may not include chocolates or other gifts, but it does contain key data for businesses that are importing or exporting such festive goods this December,” said St Nick’s customs and trade specialist, and lead elf, Lyn Dewsbury.

Each (working) day, we’ll open up the code that a trader may need to use for classifying their different festive goods.

So not only are we getting a fab surprise each day, we’re also ensuring our Christmas consignments are compliant.

Merry Christmas!
