Businesses and trade professionals can now book tickets for one of UK trade’s most significant annual events in December.

The Import Export Show, hosted by the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade, is returning for its second year on 3 December at Leonardo Royal, London City Hotel, London.

The conference will again bring together decisionmakers, business leaders and professionals from across the international supply chain to connect and share insights on how to ‘empower global trade’.

Tickets can be booked here, with the Chartered Institute’s members able to claim a significant discount.

Empowering trade

Marco Forgione, the director general of the Chartered Institute, said he was excited to hear from some of global trade’s leading thinkers and businesses.

“Last year’s Import Export Show had a wealth of updates and insights from senior government figures and trade policy thought leaders, as well as inspiring advice from the UK’s leading exporters.

“This year’s conference will again bring together a diverse set of decisionmakers from the public and private sectors to share their thoughts on how industry and government can work together to empower global trade.”

He added that traders will get the opportunity to hear practical tips from each other and the Chartered Institute’s team of trade and customs experts at the event.

Local to global

The conference will again be hosted by ITN journalist Nina Hossain and has the strapline: ‘Local to global – empowering global trade’.

Among the speakers that have so far been confirmed are:

·         David Henig, UK trade policy director at the European Centre for International Political Economy

·         Kevin Shakespeare, director of advisory services at the Chartered Institute

·         Bob Gokani, owner and inventor of Ezi Drops

·         Nick Marsden, co-founder & director of OOSC Clothing

·         Anna Doherty, senior customs and trade specialist at the Chartered Institute

Winners of this year’s International Trade Awards will also be announced during the conference.

What to expect

Charlie Laycock, the head of events at the Chartered Institute, said she can’t wait to meet the industry’s leading thinkers and businesses at the event.

“It’s going to be a great show. The Import Export Show will again bring together global trade’s leading thinkers and some of the UK’s best exporters to cast an eye over the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead in 2025.

“I’m really excited to see businesses, thought leaders and business leaders connecting and learning from each other at the show.”
