Undertaking | The Institute of Export and International Trade

Individual (Professional) Member Undertaking

I1. I agree that in the event of admission to the Institute of Export & International Trade, I will abide by and observe the provisions of the Memorandum and Articles of Association, bye-laws and regulations as they now are or as they may hereafter be altered and agree that I will advance the objects of the Institute as far as shall be in my power.

I2. I agree to pay such annual subscription and fees, from the date of my election, as shall be prescribed by the Institute in general meeting from time to time, provided that whenever I shall signify, in writing to the secretary that I wish to resign from the Institute, I shall, after payment of any due arrears, return the certificate of membership and be free of any obligation.

I3. I further undertake to contribute an amount of money, not exceeding one pound, for payment of debts and liabilities of the Institute contracted whilst a member or within one year of ceasing to be a member and of the costs, charges and expenses of winding up, and for the adjustment of the rights of the contributories amongst themselves.

I4. I certify that all the information I have provided, on and with my application, is true and correct at the time of this application.

I5. I acknowledge that the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade, Royal Charter body no. [RC000937] (Chartered Institute) has been established to take over the operations of the Institute of Export & International Trade in due course. If such transfer occurs during my membership, I agree that my membership shall transfer to the Chartered Institute, and that any subscriptions I have paid may be transferred to the Chartered Institute accordingly. I agree that the undertakings given above at paragraphs I1, I2 and I4 are given to the Chartered Institute with effect from the transfer and shall be interpreted accordingly. I recognise that I will need to enter into a new Gift Aid declaration in respect of any future membership subscriptions I may make to the Chartered Institute.

My data may be transferred to the Chartered Institute on the basis that it shall be held and used by the Chartered Institute on the same basis as set out in the Data Protection section in the Institute of Export & International Trade’s terms of business.

Business Member Undertaking

B1. B4. The Applicant acknowledges that the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade, Royal Charter body no. [RC000937] (Chartered Institute) has been established to take over the operations of the Institute of Export & International Trade in due course. If such transfer occurs during the Applicant’s membership, the Applicant agrees that its membership shall transfer to the Chartered Institute and that it shall be an Affiliate Member of the Chartered Institute, and that any subscriptions it has paid may be transferred to the Chartered Institute accordingly. The Applicant agrees that the undertakings given above at paragraphs B1 – B3 are given also to the Chartered Institute with effect from the transfer and shall be interpreted accordingly.
