This special event, which took place on 24th October 2024 at Mansion House, was a celebration of the accomplishments of all our 2023/24 students who graduated with qualifications from the Chartered Institute and UK Customs Academy.
We are so grateful to all who were able to attend on the day, with their guests, to make it such a memorable occasion.
By completing the Level 4 Diploma in International Trade, I hope to continue working with exporters with a greater understanding of the nuanced experiences each business will have in selling their products or services.
The knowledge and skills I obtained from the qualifications I have achieved were instrumental in my career development. For future students, I can attest that the investment is deeply rewarding, transforming not only your professional trajectory but also your personal outlook on the world.
It helped me in understanding the export process in detail for my day-to-day role and in demonstrating to my employer that I am committed to my own professional development. I would absolutely recommend this qualification to anyone working in the freight industry looking to expand their knowledge.
Following completion of course, I have found various ways in which we can improve the way we work. Alongside my colleague, we have implemented numerous changes which has been of great benefit to our Export department.
I would recommend the qualification to anyone looking to develop and deepen their understanding of International Trade.
I was unsure about returning to studying after over 20 years, the tutors and course material have made this the right choice for me.
So far this has helped me to gain confidence in studying again and in the end give me a clearer understanding of the complex nature of international trading.
On a personal level, this also greatly improved my working practices in my day-to-day role. Through completing research on CBAM (for Module 3) and EUDR (for Module 4) I have effectively launched two new products within the consultancy services at Business West, and now conduct thorough audits on site for companies across the region. As a result, I have been able to liaise and consult with a much broader selection of companies in the area.
I would whole-heartedly encourage anyone who is looking to further their career within International Trade to consider studying the DWCCR course.
We’re excited to continue supporting all of our graduates through their bright futures in international trade.
